Accidentally made a guest profile and i can't use my controller.

I was transferring my kids' profiles and i accidentally made a quest under one of their names. I shut down and restarted. It automatically signed in the guest. I have only 1 controller. What can be done so i can sign back in with this controller?

Xbox live guest not working

I can't play live with a guest. I am playing cod black ops. I selected add a guest and my name tag (1) is signed in But when I hit A to add them, the nametag (1) isn't there. Just gust shows up. When I select the guest I get an error message sayingCant
sign in to Xbox live. Please use a profile with a valid membership.

 

NEW RULE

I used to let my guest use my profile and wreck as the guest. Most times we see guests I break habit and expose myself a little more because they offer little resistance.

 

Go into settings choose Devices & Accessories then assign someone choose your GT Good luck.

 

i might have to try the smartglass. i can't scroll any direction. the only thing i can do is hold down the xbox button and shutdown.

 

well, i held down buttons and found out that holding B will bring me to the game i was playing. it asked to sign in a profile. yay. trial and error.

 

aaaaaand that didn't end up working. why can't i use the controller? that's what i don't understand.

 

Sorry I wasn't thinking cant you sign in as the guest then change back to your GT I will see if can find any info on this.

 

well, now i shut off controller, shut down xbox, unplugged it, and powered it back up. i can scroll around again. problem solved.
