Accidentally bought an xbox exclusive game through the microsoft store on PC

I bought a game on the Microsoft Store app on PC, and only found out after the purchase went through that it was Xbox One exclusive. I am not able to refund it, which I suspect is because you have to have downloaded and launched the game at least once to
get a refund. But I don't even own an Xbox so it's impossible to launch the game to trigger the refund option.

Forza Horizon 3 "Play Anywhere"

Heey guys, so I bought Forza Horizon 3 through the Xbox Store on my Xbox One.

Why doesn't this game show as download on my PC on the windows store/xbox app ? It only tells me to purchase the game AGAIN, WTF!?

 

Have not received Fallout 3 code

To clarify I bought it in the xbox one store on my xbox, not through any third party or a pc.

In this case You must contact Xbox Support to get a refund, You Will talk to them and explain what happened to You.

You can log into your Microsoft account on the website and navigate to recent purchases and select to get help with the order or you can visit Contact Us | Xbox Support and

For refund you can first try the auto function in
http://commerce.microsoft.com if doesnt get, you will need to contact the official Xbox Support. They are the only ones that can determine if a refund is possible or not.

Yeah, as others have suggested, you should try the support team. I did this once and accidentally bought a pc exclusive game and they refunded me.
