Accidentally associated Xbox Game Pass with wrong Microsoft account

What you can do to get around this problem would be to put both profiles on your Xbox One.

Doing this way you can play Game Pass games with your old profile.

For years I have had an Xbox Game Pass associated to this account - with all my game progress saved. This subscription expired and I wasn't using Xbox at the time.

Some time ago I set up a second Microsoft account, for work purposes, at *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. I promptly forgot about it. However, the login details remained saved in my browser password manager.

I recently redeemed a new voucher for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate via my mobile phone provider - EE in the UK. Great - but I did this late at night, in a rush, and I accidentally redeemed it against my second Microsoft account - @gmail.com.

Is there any way to transfer my Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to my main Microsoft account - @hotmail.com? This means that all of my previous game process would be visible when I try to use the Game pass.

My @gmail.com email address is set up for account recovery for the @hotmail.com account... there are many ways I can prove that I own both email addresses.

I also have a very distinctive first name and last night attached to both!

I appreciate I can use game sharing between the two accounts - but this is tiresome and confusing. I'd rather just merge them into one.

Any solutions, team?

Nothing is transferable betweem accounts unfortunately. Accounts also cannot be merged in any way.

Have you tried logging into stickybeef6 on the console and changing the Microsoft Account associated there to another one?

The issue you are having is usually caused by creating a new profile accidentally and not from changing the email associated with the account.

This does suggest Microsoft account is associated with the wrong email. What I would do is on the Xbox with the Gamertag you believe is the right one is check the E-mail address associated with it. A Gamertag is associated with a Microsoft Account but
the E-mail address that is associated with a Microsoft Account\E-mail address can change. Hope that helps and makes sense.
