    Accidental report and agitation of fellow xbox member


    My child has reported someone online for cheating he says accidentally on my account. Also let slip his age without thinking as he has learning difficulties which takes him longer to understand what he has done. I wanted to know what is gonna happen. Because I don't wish to be be banned or anything. I have blocked the person he reported as don't want ny child doing it again.

    Thank you. He said that he thought the guy was cheating in game. He sent a couple of messages between each of them. I have spoke to my kid but the other guy sent voice messages saying so much trouble etc. And thag he was gonna report my account so just wanted to check. And false reports gonna get me banned etc.

    Unless he did something to violate the code of conduct, nothing would happen. Accidentally reporting someone wouldn't result in a ban.

    Well, they won't know it was accidental...if the content you reported was violating the Xbox Live rules, then your friend will get Enforcement action, whether the reporting was accidental or not.

    Agitation and retaliation is what feeds the monster otherwise known as enforcement. Wouldn't it be great to have a simple systen where you block or mute agitators and never even have to worry about communicating, or being randomly matched with said person
    or group ever again?

    Nah, that would be too simple. Besides, the report button would be far too complicated for MS and Sony to remove. Besides, if they eliminated the report button, the monster would get pink slips and have to either go on welfair or actually work for a living.

    Won't be long before they report and lock your threads OP, but whatever they do. Chin up!
