    Accidental report against friend


    I accidentally reported a friend while we were just fooling around and it actually managed to go through and get the person banned, there’s no reason to keep them suspended and i would like to get it lifted because all i was doing was intending to delete
    the message please if it’s not too much to ask can you please unbann my friend

    Sorry but the the reporting system is not viewed as a joke by the enforcement team and all reports have to be taken seriously for the team to be able to look a report equally

    There's no way to cancel a report. As long as he hasn't done anything to violate the code of conduct, he'll be fine.

    Your friend would need to go to http://enforcement.xbox.com

    It doesn't matter the reason he was reported. The enforcement team investigates each complaint they received and would have suspended him because he did something to violate the code of conduct, not just because you reported him.

    How will the Xbox enforcement team know that I accidentally reported my friend?
    Well, they won't know it was accidental...if the content you reported was violating the Xbox Live rules, then your friend will get Enforcement action, whether the reporting was accidental or not.

    Hi LevelEzy,

    I don’t want to repeat what has been said by others but please do get acquainted with the Community Standards / Code of Conduct / Terms of Service as they
    apply to all gamers. Also do take a look at the Enforcement
    webpage as it has valuable information that does come in handy.

    I believe that the Enforcement team can take action against users who make repeated false reports and I would say always think before using the report function as it can have consequences. Being familiar with the rules will help you use the report function
    as intended :)

    Im sorry but how can you accidentally report someone for that? However, worry not, moderators do review reports before making the decision and your friend should be fine.
