Accessing my included Minecraft game after initial setup

I have a new Xbox One S, Minecraft edition. I've gone through the initial set up and installed a purchased game via disc. How do I get to the console included Minecraft game?

I cant sign into my XBL account on my console

Try restoring the console to its original settings by running "Initial Setup." You can do so by accessing the dashboard menu, selecting the 'My Xbox' channel, scrolling right to 'System Settings,' and then running 'Initial Setup.'

Minecraft Console versions were essentially the same game but for anyone that owns the Xbox One edition was given a free updated version within the last few months I think. This version I can only describe as the unified version that is cross platform and has a slightly different front end UI that looks more suited to a PC setup, once in the game the experience is the same. I think other consoles will eventually get this free updated version to bring it inline with others and bring the 'better together' cross platform option to all except the PS4 as Sony aren'y getting onboard with it.

I brought my daughter the Xbox One S console bundle for Xmas which includes Minecraft with some cosmetic packs and Minecraft Story mode Season 1. When I set it up I realised the bundled Minecraft is the new unified version which initially I thought would put my daughter off due to the main menu and new game UI but she got the hang of it quickly and like I said, once in game its essentially the same.

The console would have come with the game either on disc or the box would have included a code for the game. If it's a code, you would just need to redeem the code and download the game.

if the game is packed in, you will find a section during initial setup call3 “included with this console”. If you missed it you can still access it.

The game and anything else is redeemable from there

I did initially have access to the game after migrating, but after not playing for a while, (I estimate it was just under a year) I logged in and minecraft wasn't there.

After the initial setup you can take the console offline and continue to play your disc games without a connection if you prefer. It is the initial setup that requires the connection.
