Accessing games redeemed on 360 to my Xbox one

hi, i have just got an xbox one. How do i access the games i had downloaded to my 360 via free games with gold onto my new console.

There is nothing showing in my ‘ready to install list’ and i cannot find a way to do this on website.

The ones i want i know are backwards compatible (e.g Battlefield 3) but i cant find a way to get it onto my xbox one without having to buy it. I have searched in the store and this title doesnt come up.

Wait so you get 2 free games every month even if you stop paying for Gold??

Yeah, unless something has changed recently, you get to keep your Xbox 360 gold games.

But the Xbox One gold games you need to have an active subscription.

I have a gold account and an Xbox One and it is advertised that you can redeem and play both Xbox One and Xbox 360 games. However I am never able to redeem any of the 360 games on my Xbox One and when I try to do so I receive a massage saying "Your account
is unable to make this type of purchase on Xbox.com. Please complete this transaction from your Xbox" I don't have access to a 360. Is there a way to fix this at all?

 

Hello if you own Xbox 360 games and are backwards compatible, they will appear automatically in Ready to Install. If you do not have them digitally and you have them on the disk and the games are backwards compatible, you can play these games over the
disk.

Are you sure you're signed in with same account you used on your Xbox 360?

You must use the same account for your 360 BC games to appear in your ready to install list.

 

Hi, if you open the guide and select My Games & Apps, they should be in your ready to install section.

Thanks for bringing this situation to our attention here on the forums. I understand you are having a bit of trouble accessing your Xbox 360 Games with Gold now that you've upgraded to an Xbox One. You should go to your Games & Apps section and look for
a location that says Gold. Make sure you are signed into the exact same Microsoft Account that was used to acquire the Games with Gold from the Xbox 360. Let us know with a reply how it goes.

 

Having spent over an hour trying to sort this out, the Ready to install section - which was previously checked numerous times and was empty has now seemingly had time to refresh and everyhting is now showing.
