Accessing data saved in the cloud

I recently had all of my data for a game wiped out when a patch update was done. I keep being told I can access an older version of my saved data from the cloud. How do I do that? It only lets me access the last version (which was after the data was
wiped) when I tried the steps on the website. How do I get to previously saved versions of the game data from the cloud?

Thanks for clarifying. Sadly, it is not possible to transfer save data between the Xbox Cloud Gaming service and a locally installed console version of a game. The save data for games played on Xbox Cloud Gaming is stored on the cloud servers and is not accessible on a local console. Similarly, save data for games played on a local console is not synced with the cloud.

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are seeking a way to access specific save data in the Cloud storage.

While you're playing a game, game data is stored on your Xbox One console. When you leave a game, your data is stored to both your hard drive and the cloud. However, any save data stored in the Cloud is automatically overwritten by any new save data sync.
Syncing data pretty much happens automatically.

Ok thanks. I have 1.2gb of save data on the console. Is there no backup data stored within that which I could possibly access?

I can't delete the data off my console as apparently certain save files are not backed up to the cloud, such as career mode data. That data is saved to the console and if deleted off the console will not be recovered from the cloud.

Your saved data will be in the cloud and accessible regardless of your Xbox Live Subscription.

We understand that you're experiencing an issue concerning saved data for Forza Horizon 4, and if there is a way to revert to a previous save file.
