Accessing another profile in X Box One Microsoft Account and Smartglass

Hi

I have two profiles (lets call them F and R) associated with a single microsoft account on my X Box. When I log in to my xbox using a single email and password, I can switch between the two profiles F and R on the Xbox itself. However when I log in with
smartglass on iOS it only provides a single profile, R, and I cannot change to F through settings, or indeed if F is logged in on the X Box it still shows R logged in on smart glass even thought the Xbox is connected to smartglass. The idea is that the smart
glass app is really for F, and this should be the default profile. Looking at this in more detail,when i log into my microsoft account online and look at my X Box profile, again i only have one profile, R, and I cannot change to F in settings.

Whats my solution here? Remove R from the profile so F is the only one associated with the original email account (and if so how do i do this) - then set up another microsoft account for R with a separate email and login? Or is there some magic way of
switching between profiles that I have not discovered yet?

Can't add profile to Xbox one

when I try to add my profile to my x box one it tells me I need to merge my Skype account with my Microsoft account. I can access my Skype on the Microsoft page but the x box won't let me add my profile. Also the Skype page says that due to continuing changes
you can't merge accounts. How I'm I supposed to use the x box if I can't add a profile?

 

I want to unlink my Microsoft and X-box accounts

I've recently come to the conclusion that I want to unlink my Microsoft and X-box accounts from one another. The reason I want to do this is that I want to start over in X-box. New username, new everything. Basically I want to make a new account, and link
THAT account to my current Microsoft account.

No answer here unfortunately but, I also have the same problem as you! Being relatively new to xbox I cannot work out how to make one of the two profiles I have, default!!!!!

The default one I have at the mo' was set up by xbox customer support when they could not find my original one for a warranty controller return! Since then, my profile has been stuck on the wrong one!!!

I hope you get an answer soon!

Hopefully it wont involve contacting customer support!? At best, its a challenge to understand them on a poor quality line!

please be aware that only one Xbox Live Account can be connected to a Microsoft Account. In the situation that multiple are present on one Microsoft Account, something has gone wrong somewhere.

In sucht situation it's best to contact Xbox Support (Phone or Microsoft Support Chat) via
support.xbox.com/contact-us

They should be able to advise what steps need to be taken to move one of the profiles to a different Microsoft Account in order to access both again.
