    Hi,

my problem is I am trying to access a 3 TB USB external drive that is plugged in and shared on a PC.

the x box can access all films via windows media centre but the menu is really bad and trying to go through 500 plus films is a nightmare.

plus I don't want the kids playing nightmare on elm street. As there is no way of sorting through the films except alphabetically.

i have the drive split into folders ie, children's animated, children's movies, horror , comedy etc etc and if I use the video apps to view the movies it is far quicker and all folders are visible so easy to find what you want.

however using the system player it is not showing all the movies in the folders.

for instance in the children's animated folder there are 80 movies but it only shows the first 3 in the horror there are 86 and it only shows the A's so 12 can be seen.

every folder is shared for everyone to have full access so I am at a loss.

    any suggestions?

    :)

320GB hard drive only has 294GB memory what's up with that?

OP, you should know that this apply to storage mediums everywhere

PC hard drives, PS3,360,USB drives. The list can go on forever

If you think 28gb reserved space is a lot, wait until you see those 3TB pc hard drives

The lack of replacable HDD slot is a joke !

The Xbox 360 had a hard set limit on the partition sizes allowed on external devices. Xbox One will NOT have this same limit.

Personally, I prefer having an external USB 3.0 3TB or 2TB to use instead of an internal. Easier to swap, easier to take with you. USB 3.0 is pretty darn fast too. I can get a 3TB USB3.0 drive on sale for under 140$.

Go into the settings for the drive and enable sharing over your network. That's exactly what I did for my desktop PC and it shows all my movies on my secondary hard drive. Give it a try and post back. I'll bookmark this so I can check back later. Accessing a share 3tb USB drive on my PC from an Xbox 360 :)
