Access owned Xbox games on new 2nd Xbox

In reality I have several issues I'm wanting to reconfigure or correct how we initially setup the original account. But it's too lengthy a discussion to hold via text/chat.

I apparently don't understand enough about the xbox gaming environment to setup simple parent/child accounts, on two xbox systems, from an existing single account based on one Xbox game system. Quickly reading thru your reply gave me an indication that trying
to get my son a new account (off of the initial singular account) on the new xbox and trying to let him continue to play the games we own will be move involved than I thought it would be.

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
2. Select System > Settings > Personalization, and then select My home Xbox.
3. Read what it says, and then select Make this my home Xbox to designate the console as your home Xbox.

• Add them to your
  family account first, and set them up for it.
• Remove your console as My home Xbox
• Next, make your kids console as your My home Xbox. This makes sure they get all the benefits of your account, and you still have all the control.

Just remember to make purchases from their console.

I want to thank everyone that assisted me with my Xbox issue. You provided information about the Xbox environment that helps me better understand that environment, and how to configure things. I do truly appreciate you taking time out of your Christmas
day to assist me.

I ultimately created my son a new Microsoft account which helped one of the problems. We also recognized his age was causing some issues with Fortnite access. We were operating from a belief our attempts to create a new Patent/child relationship was the
problem but after deleting those efforts and still having the problem made me consider other possible causes. Your info and taking time to think in a different direction allowed us to get him back on Fortnite. I'm still debating if that's a good thing 🙃,
but Christmas day wrapped up better for him!

I'm ready to throw this POS out the window. Can't get my family setup correctly. Constantly asking for accounts and passwords. Seems like I'm going in circles. Can't get any Xbox Support as it's not questions or topics that get phone or Chat help. Wasted
all day on this POS! Just Friggin enough!!

You will have to log into the account that owns the games or make it the console's home xbox.
