AC4 w/ multiple users on same console

there was a thread that dealt with this issue : Uh oh... that shouldn't have happened.

has anyone else had issues with overwrite of save files? my wife and I both play but a few days ago, somehow her game file started overwriting on my file and now I have lost all my progress. I tried to get help from Ubisoft but they do not seem to have a
clue. If anyone has a work-around, it would be greatly appreciated.

Does premium work on multiple accounts?

yes, I can confirm that multiple users can use premium on the same console. And the purchaser can use it on every console!

 

Same game on multiple consoles

Yes that is true. It's how the licenses are set up to work with games.

As long as you're not exploiting the license transfer tool to share games, you should not get banned. What you're doing will be fine.

 

One fix you could try is one of you have the save file on the hard drive & the other has it on the Cloud. If you want, you can start that now, but to avoid starting the game from scratch, you can copy a save file to another place (hard drive or cloud.)

To do this, follow these steps (copying from Hard Drive to Cloud

• Press the Guide button & scroll to the right to settings. Then go System Settings/Storage/Hard Drive/Games & Apps.
  
• Select the game, and you should see save files. They'll be only KB's in size. It should also show the gamertag for that save. When you select it, it will also show the date it was last saved, so you'll know which is the most current.
  
• Select the save file itself & choose Copy.

It will ask where you want to copy to, choose Cloud. Voila!

Next time you play the game, you can then choose Hard Drive for your saves, and then next time your wife logs on, she can choose Cloud

As long and you both keep to those choices then there'll be no overwrite

Thanks SubjectI7. This may be a good work around but my only point of contention is that the system is not functioning as advertised. If it is a known issue (and it is, there are other forum posts concerning it) then Ubisoft and/or Microsoft ought to be
working on a fix to this glitch. I don't mind employing a work around but it would be nice if someone is developing a fix to the glitch.
