AC4 saved game disappeared and replaced -- help please!

Well....same thing here!!! Very FRUSTRATING!

I had 69% completed with a TON of extra time spent finding every animus object, chest, boarding ships, finding buried treasure, crafting from bones and using the fleet feature only to be brought back to my son's saved game.

We had 2 different ONE Kinnect profiles and were very careful to login using each one. I am DONE!!!!

 

I haven't played this game in months but am surprised this is still happening (i.e., MS/Ubi hasn't fixed it yet). This shouldn't be that hard to resolve.

We were able to work around it and make sure it didn't happen with my game and my other son's game by turning off Kinect auto-recognition/sign-in and making sure that when we exited our game to the home screen we "quit" the game as suggested above.

 

Same for me. Xbox1 didn't recognise me, I hadn't noticed (with hindsight) and loaded AC4. tried to hit A to start but it wouldn't do anything. went back to homescreen, reloaded game, and it asked me if I wanted to start. Pressed A and it chucked me in on
a new game. My save has gone and everything with it. I am logged in as my gamertag, but AC4 thinks I have nothing. If I select 'additional content' to see the DLC I purchased, it says 'you need to be logged in to get this' - even tho I am logged in. So I've
lost my save, and the DLC I purchased. you can see all my previous achievements in the homescreen area but AC4 won't recognise me as a user or my content.

I've got 20,000 + gamerpoints, but this is the last straw. I'm off to eBay to sell the XB1 and then get a PS4. Never thought I'd say that. Microsoft you have let me down.

If you are reading this as an Xbox fan or AC fan don't buy XB1 version. Waste of time and money

 

Same exact thing happened to me last night IJG71. Unbelievable.

 

Can't believe after reading these messages that Microsoft hasn't corrected the profile issues. I had 39 hours in the game and then my saved game was overwritten by my roommates game. This just happened today so the problem was apparently never corrected.
My profile and associated saved data should be protected from access by any one else's. This is a Microsoft security issue that needs to addressed promptly. What else can be accessed overwritten. Will my billing info be copied to some other profiles and will
I keep looking game data? As is I am in no way confident that XBOX one is a usable in a household with more than one person using it.

Of course I would like to get my saved game back though I am not optimistic on that count. I also don't want to waste time playing on the system ever again if this can happen at any time. What is Microsoft doing to patch Xbox one and correct the problem
in the future since it was identified over 5 months ago? I understand that Ubisoft and assassin creed IV are currently the only program identified but they are obviously inadvertently exploiting a weakness that Microsoft has in the xbox one system.

 

A agree with you Duke. I laugh when you say that MS needs to address this promptly, because clearly that is not happening. You would think that if MS or Ubi had any concern for its customers/fans a patch could have been released by now...

 

Hey everyone. This happend to us too, just today. The game had slowly starting to show little issue here and there and then this finally happened. Both of us are gold, on my sons replaced my save. Very frustrating. However I reported this happening with
the same game on the 360. That time was my oldest son and youngest son.

 

My nine months of fifa 14 progress just gone due to this problem.

 

From an Xbox representative. Yes, that is correct. It will also delete your previous saves Daniel. I understand this and double check everything and consult our support team about this matter.

 

Any updates on this issue? Just lost my ac4 save for the second time after completing 61% of the game. Not interested in starting over a third time from 0%.

My husband and i use the same profile/account and he doesn't play assasins creed so I know it wasn't a matter of logging out to change profiles and we do not have the kinect. after this happend the first time a week or so ago I was careful to exit out of
the game completely before shutting off my Xbox in case I had done something wrong. Very disappointed it happened again! I am so glad this game was a freebie with the Xbox one so we didn't waste our money on it! Spent the last hour and a half on the phone
trouble shooting with Microsoft to no avail. Disappointed is an understatement, it was such a fun game!
