AC4 Freedoms Cry will not load /install

Pretty self explanatory, I purchased the season pass, the other parts installed and are available however when I select Freedoms Cry it hangs.

Thoughts? Ideas? Solutions?

Initializing downloadable content package...

I read about an easier way to get it to work and so far it's 100%. Before you load up AC4, disconnect from the internet. Next, start the game and load freedom cry. Once your in game pause it( not sure if you ACTUALLY have to pause, but it's how I do it.
Finally, reconnect to the internet and go back to your game.

Assassin's Creed 4 Season Pass -- Kraken Ship Pack not displaying in additional content

[table][tr][td]I purchased the season pass for AC4 for XBOX One. I installed the season pass through the additional content menu in-game and it successfully installed. The Freedom Cry DLC is listed as coming soon in additional content. However, the Kraken Ship pack is not displayed at all and thus, I can't download/install it. Any resolution? Thanks.[/td][/tr][/table]

I have the same issue n xbox one. Although this is a ubisoft issue, MS need to also take some responsibility. They need to ensure that all games/DLC on their machine work, or work with the games companies to thrash out the solution.

No-one will take ownership of this issue...

Update from Ubisoft:

As for the DLC, it does work for the majority of people playing it. We have seen reports of Xbox One users encountering this issue and, yes, taking the console offline is a temporary workaround. Currently, it is uncertain what exactly is causing the issue,
but it seems the console itself is trying to check for some form of update for the DLC when it is being initially launched. That is why it hangs at the initializing screen.

AC4 all the way... even after completing the main missions you still have hours if not days of side missions and task to do. Not to mention Freedom Cry was just release a ton of new mission and story line.

AC4 is one of my all time faves. The dc was glitchy only way icould get freedom cry to start was to make sure was not running then sign out and start game. During load it will ask who u r then sighn in an freedom cry will work fin after that.

Also if u go into display settings on dashbourd and max out thpixs to 36and turn it to pc full the game is stunning i seen more color shades even on the loading screen. Your tv will have to be able to handl i though. Make sure to do the tv calibration as
well as best ucan makes huge difference on all the games dont turn game mode on if u r not having ptoblems with game slowdown game mode setting makes things look terrible. Every other cal they say works well though.
