AC3 Remastered: Slow Install from Disc and Forced Update Render Game Unplayable

I'm installing from the disc. It's been 17 hours and it's at 5%. This is insane. I've had bigger downloads install faster. I won't be able to even play the game today. I took it offline and but then it refuses to install at all. Why can't I just pop it
in and play? This is insane. My internet connection is at full bars on wi-fi. I just wasted my money. Thanks Microsoft.

Thank you for reaching out. We understand your AC3 Remastered has been encountering issues during its installation. If you haven't already done so, go ahead and check out our

Slow Installation article for some quick and easy steps that may get you into the game faster. The bars you see under your connection do not reflect speed but rather the signal strength coming from the router. Selecting "detailed network statistics" within
your network settings will provide you with your current speed. Hope this helps!

This shouldn't happen, is there any scratches or damage to the disc?

If your discs are cracking in the middle, it's usually just wear and tear when you take them out or put them in their respective cases. Most of the time, it shouldn't cause enough damage to render the disc unplayable. Just be careful when taking your discs
out. (As in, don't bend the disc out, but instead, use your thumb to push in the center so the disc pops out of the case.)

If you think it's the console cracking the discs, though, be sure and install your games to the hard drive so you can reduce wear and tear on both the console and your discs.

And just in case, remember that you shouldn't move your Xbox 360 while a disc is inside. Doing so can damage your disc and render it unplayable.

If this is a digital game then it has to download and install the game. It will also install any necessary updates. If it is a disc game it will install it from the disc and install any necessary updates. If it is a disc game you might be able to speed
it up some by putting your console in offline mode. A slow internet will definitely have an impact on the download/installation of games.

Just a Triple

Bump: I just got back because I was out. I've just ejected/reinserted my disc and it is read that it is AC3 (which it never did before). When I start or try installing AC3 the console says, "This disc is unreadable."

1. Clean the disc with a soft cloth.

2. Restart the console.

It's BRAND NEW.

Edit #2:

So I ejected and reinserted the disc AGAIN and launched it straight away. This time it disconnected me from LIVE and downloaded an update.

Will try installing after this (THIS IS NECESSARY FOR ME. My Xbox360 is extremely noisy when discs are not installed.
