    AC Valhalla won't update


    Bought AC Valhalla. Installed game. Said I needed an update to play but you can't get it right now. Have error code (0x8b050033). And before you ask, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game, power cycled the console, cleared the mac address and even complete reset of console and the problem persists. And also, all other games update fine. This has been going on for 3 days with no change. Please help

    Spoke with Ubisoft and they said this is an Xbox issue and I need to contact Xbox

    I'm having the same issue....it's been about 10 hours since I was told I needed to update. I'm still see error code 0x8b050033.

    How long does MS need?

    Has anyone gotten an answer on this topic? I've been trying to install it for 2 days now. (Currently trying again now) Everytime I get it installed and click it, it says it needs an update but it won't update and gives me that error code above. I'm tried hard resetting, uninstalling and reinstalling, even cleared local save data. I've never had this issue with anyone other game before (Xbox one X)

    AC Valhalla won't update

    I was getting the error code (0x8b050033) so I uninstalled everything and then hit the install button in the Microsoft store and that worked! Hopefully this helps.

    Hello, I ended up uninstalling the game and reinstalling the game via the Xbox app ony phone and it finally worked for me. Probably the same type of thing is my guess lol. It should not be this hard to install a game lol

    First, welcome to the Xbox community. I'm seeing other people reporting the same error code when trying to update certain games, in the thread below you can check one of the cases.

    I believe it could be a momentary problem. According to Microsoft, it may be a server issue not yet reported per the support page below.

    Hi John

    Thank you for reaching out to the forum. There is still issues with installing the game from the console, but a solution is to install it via. the xbox phone app. It has worked for myself and many others.

    • Open Xbox application on your phone.
    • Go to the search icon in the bottom middle (magnifying glass icon)
    • Choose "Download to Console" and the download will cue up in your downloads on your console.

    Power Cycle:
    1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.
    2.Unplug the console
    2. Wait for 5 minutes and then plug and turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.
