    AC Valhalla downloaded to my console, but asks for disc


    Just a quick question, I recently joined the Xbox Insiders program and noticed this morning that AC Valhalla was downloaded to my console, along with the Way of the Berserker mission DLC. I didn't buy this game, was it pushed to my console as a demo or something from the Insiders program?

    Another possibility, I bought this console used and when I bought it there were about 30 digital games bound to it that will launch and run perfectly even though I didn't buy them. They were sort of inherited to my account from whoever owned the console before. I can download them and play them fine.

    Is it possible that the person who owned this console before me bought AC Valhalla and it got pushed to my machine somehow? Could I be in some sort of game-sharing link and not know it? According to the Microsoft Store I "own" the game, I just can't launch it beyond the splash screen because I don't have the disc.

    I just download AC Origins through Ubisoft Connect, it's not on the play anywhere either? And my AC Valhalla game is connected to it just like the other AC games. I can also download Odyssey and Origins, just not Valhalla. And i did not pay for them on PC.

    If you're asking about a custom console, maybe. Traditionally MS hasn't done much on that end. They do have the marketing deal with AC Valhalla so anything is possible.

    just to clarify, if i have the physical copy of AC valhalla downloaded on my xbox one, the digital one will be able to download on Series X? assuming that its the same as the One.

    Same here. Have had the problem/code repeatedly, as well as other issues loading game. Xbox Series X, fully updated. AC Valhalla on disc, fully updated. Tried restarting console, power cycling console, no good. The other issue I have repeatedly is that it will get to the screen showing the save symbol then drop me back to the Xbox dashboard. I’ve fixed it in the past sometimes by loading and playing another game that uses a disc, then when I go back to Valhalla it works, but not this time. Now nothing let’s me past the code.
