AC Valhalla: Cannot access add-on after upgrading to Series X version

I installed AC Valhalla last year, from disc, on an Xbox one. I completed the game and then purchased the season pass, installed the WotD dlc but didn’t get round to completing all the story content.

I have since come back to the game following upgrading my Xbox to a series x. I transferred the AC Valhalla base game and the add ons (WotD and Beowulf) to the new machine via an external drive and then moved them to series x internal ssd.

So now I can open the game no problem (I had to download the smart delivery update first) and pick up where I left off. Except when I continue my game it says that some content might be missing due to not all add ons being present. I am not able to access any of the quests from WotD.

I check the storage and it says that I have the base game + 2 add ons installed. They are all installed on internal drive. When I check in the store it shows that I own the season pass. Everything seems fine, but the game just doesn’t seem to recognise that I have the WotD dlc installed.

Is there anything I can do to point the game at the dlc or somehow force it to find the right file?

I'm guessing you will have to redownload the dlc

But ot the game since the update only affects the core game

Typically we are unable to assist with errors that are found in games and it is recommended to contact the developer directly. If you would like to contact Ubisoft, you may find their support here: Ubisoft Help - Official Account & Game Support. They may be able to provide better support regarding this title along with troubleshooting since this is an error that many users have experienced with this DLC.

Yes AC Valhalla will be on Series X too and will use Smart Delivery (Buy it on Xbox 1 and you will get the Series X version Free )

I'm pretty certain that Xbox will release the Xbox Series X with AC Valhalla on it since their release dates are both during holidays.

just to clarify, if i have the physical copy of AC valhalla downloaded on my xbox one, the digital one will be able to download on Series X? assuming that its the same as the One.
