Ac adapter for xb1

Hey my ac adapter gets really hot after playing the xb1 for about an 1/2 hour. It also makes an noise while starting up. Please tell me some ways to either cool it down or if you have suggestions let me know thanks

Japan support problem

The AC adapter has failed.

I was forced to repair the main body for some reason,

I took 13,000 yen. Additional 4 thousand yen will be taken

for repair of the AC adapter.

There is contact with the AC adapter shortage,

repair can not be done,

even after one month from the start of repair is not completed.

Ac adapter

On my ac adapter box it says it's 127v but can I use a 240v on it? I got my console back in 2010 and my adapter is going out I can't play on it longer than 10 minutes. I ordered the replacement adapter that is the 240v off of amazon and didn't realize
it had certain sizes till after. I'm so confused.

Hi there,

there are no ways to cool it down other then placing it in a well ventilated location, you may try and see if there is a lot of dust in there (without opening it up) and use a vacuum on a low mode to see if that helps to clean it up etc.

but if it is also making weird noices on start up (if you hear a fan then that is fine) then you might want to check out the options to replace the ac adapter via for example: https://support.microsoft.com/devices
depending on the warranty this may come with a fee.

Obsessive Power

If your console is the original big Xbox One, you can't just plug it into the mains as European mains are 230V and your American console is only 110V. The best course is to buy an official Xbox Power supply unit which you should be able to buy by calling
Xbox support. Do not be tempted into purchasing any third party power supplies. These have not been tested for safety - you could be electrocuted, or cause a fire. And should it fail, your console would be warranty voided.

The other option is a step-up transformer, but these too are not recommended. They tend to run hot, and, just as with a fake power supply, if the transformer damages your console, it will be warranty voided.

If you use an adapter that has a higher voltage than the one that came with the console then you risk blowing out the console and will have to purchase another one.

If you have a GameStop (or other video game shops) in Belgium, you might find used, official power supplies for sale. Otherwise, you should be able to get a replacement power supply if you talk to Xbox Support (chat or phone call). Replacement cost may vary
depending on your Xbox's warranty status.
