  1. AC Adapter - 220V (DC output 120W, 9.6A) vs. 110V (DC output 135W, 10.83A)

Hi all, there are a number of threads on this topic but nothing definitively answering the question. I purchased an Xbox 360 while based in the middle east using 220V current. The back of the xbox indicates model 1439 with signage of 12V-9.6A; the AC Adapter
A11-120P2A output DC is 120W, 12V, 9.6A, I have read on a number of forums, that all i need is to buy a north american AC Adapter 110V and I am good to go, however all AC adapters available online with 110V, reflect output of 135W, 10.83A. My concern/question
is, are these to AC adapters interchangeable? In other words can i use this 110V adapter even though output is 135W and 10.83A?

    Thanks in advance

    :)

Xbox 360 slim ac adapter compatibility

I have an Xbox 360 slim purchased in India. The adapter that I use currently use is the following:

    Model: A10-120P1A

    Rev. 01

    Input AC: 200-240V 1.78A 47-63Hz

    Output DC: 120W , 9.6A

    Vendor: E143709

    MS P/N: X856284-004

I will be moving to the US soon. But this adapater is not compatible because the Input voltage is 200-240V whereas in the US it is 110V. So I am planning to purchase a new adapter compatible with the US power supply.

Will the adapter with the following specifications work with my xbox 360 slim?

    Input: AC 100-240V 2A 47-63Hz

    Output: DC 135W 12V 10.83A 5Vsb 1A

The output dc for this is 135W whereas in my current one is 120W.

    12V 10.83A?

    AC Adapter - 220V (DC output 120W, 9.6A) vs. 110V (DC output 135W, 10.83A)

I cannot say for sure on those part numbers, but for the most part, as long as the voltage is the same and the rated current (or power) is at least as high, you will be fine. It is saying that you may use 9.6A, but the supply can give you 10.83 if necessary.
If it was the other way around, the power supply couldn't put out enough juice.

How can I use my USA X-box one console -model 1540 -in Europe (The Netherlands)?

You need a power brick for the Netherlands or use a power transformer to plug the console into it.
Hi Stuart thanks for speedy reply!

I have found a brick on a Dutch website especially for the X-box One with the following specifications:

    Specificaties:

    • Kleur Zwart
    • Plug Type: EU / VS / UK
    • Input: AC 100 ~ 240V, 47 ~ 63 HZ
    • Output: 135W DC 12V / 10.83A, 5VSB 1A

The above "EU" brick solves the AC voltage and differing plug problem, but as output it has DC 12V /
10.83A , whilst my current US brick has DC 12V / 16.5 A (5Vsb-10A is the same) for output.

I have no clue what this means, but I do know that 'normal' US appliances (coffeemaker etc) 'blow up' when plugged in without a special transformator, because of differing watt/Amp specifications.

Does this EU brick solve this -separate- issue too, or is the X-box One different from normal household appliances in the sense that this problem doesn't exist (like laptops/computers do not have this problem either) ?

Also, I can't seem to find a brick made by Microsoft/X-box that is sold seperately from the console; is buying from a third party the only option?

Thanks. So the 120W or 135W output won't make a difference right?

    Power Brick issue

My console did not have warranty anyway. I purchased in Japan but used it in Hong Kong.

So, you do not think I should use a stepdown converter (from 220V to 110V), which only allows 200AC at its maximum? Does Xbox One really use over 200W? Every other third-party power brick only output 135W only.

    Power Supply Question

As long as they're intended for use in the same country (same AC input and DC output specifications), they're interchangeable. I have a Rev 2 and a Rev 4. Both are USA PSUs, both are rated the same.
