AC 4 Black Flag game progress reset to 0%

Hello,

I began playing Assassin's Creed 4 - Black Flag two days ago. I didn't have any problems until I tried to play today and my progress had been reset to 0% and I had to start from the very beginning again. My game progress was around 28% when I logged off
last night. My save game name is still intact, just the progress reset.

Does anyone know why this happened or if I can recover my game progress?

How many disc you owned on the XB1?

ryse, ac black flag, sniper elite 3, battlefield 4 are the only games i currently own on disc

I have same problem, I just bought XOne with AC Unity and AC 4 Black Flag download codes, just finished downloading of AC Uniti with no problem (code worked on second try) but when I try to use second code for AC Black Flag it show me error SVC60017 and
please try later. Whats wrong?

 

Game saves are stored on the Cloud, not the console so you should not have lost your progress.

Someone else had a similar issue recently where they were unable to access their saves. They found success in holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shut down then unplugging everything from it for 5 minutes.

See if that will help you as well.

 

Unfortunately that did not work. My game save appears to still be there. The name I gave it in the save slot is still there. The progress just reset to 0%.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

 

I've just had the same thing... What gives?! I was on 33% last night! and woke up to 0%.

Same as BertMacklin, my chosen name is still there, so the save slot has been reset.

I tried the alleged fix, but it did not work. Did this ever get resolved, because I am livid...?!

If it's saved in the cloud, can I see it somehow?

 

There should be a backup of the save on the console. If you goto games and apps, then highlight your game, press the menu button on the controller and select manage, your game, any dlc and your backup saves should be displayed.

 

I tried what you said, but I'm not sure it's right. When I chose "Manage Game"', I saw an icon in the middle of the screen that said "Saved Data". I simply have the choice to delete it. Despite the fact that I have started a second save slot, I do not
see loads of backups... Just my stored data in one single file.

Have I done something wrong?

 

Hey Loin75, that data on the xbox is your backup all on one single file.

 

So how was that data file supposed to help me? As it happens now, I started a new save slot and got to the exact same point in the game again - which is roughly where you are able to start building a fleet..... And guess what.... My entire fleet from
my first (lost) save slot is there waiting for me. In fact, all 12 ships immediately popped up as finishing their mission, and I got of load of money. How is that even possible? Different save slots, different names, different games... Something is
seriously *** up. I am not confident that this is nt going to happen again.
