Abusive voice message

I have been receiving abusive messages from gamertag [Mod Removed]

He sent me a voice message saying he was going to [Mod Removed] of me tomorrow if i didn't join his xbox live party, and called me a
[Mod Removed]

This is not the first time he has done this.

I have deleted him, but would like to find out how i permanently block him?

I have filed a complaint, but i'm not sure if anything will be done as i've reported him in the past for the same reason, and nothing was done regarding the matter.

Spoken like a true victim, Biz. OP, only you can vouch for the voracity of the threat. Do what you feel is appropriate. Report them through Xbox, or contact the authorities.

You can block him and be done with it. If the non-emergency line was contacted every time someone felt abused or threatened on XBL, it would be insane. Some stranger on xbl that you beat in cod isn't likely to go through the trouble of finding who you
are, where you live, then plan a trip to your home - perhaps hundreds of miles - to violate your mom or wife. It's just not realistic. People need to toughen up and stop taking everything so seriously. It's the internet. People are mean.

 

Filing a report is half the battle. You will also need to block communications with him (in your Xbox Guide, select his profile from the list of recent players) and then never message him again. If you block him and then message him, it will unblock him
automatically. As for filing the reports, remember to only file once per incident. Each time you do, it goes into a case file for the Xbox Policy & Enforcement Team. Sometimes it takes them a little while to get to your case, but when they do, they will
perform the necessary investigative steps to ensure that they have all the facts before deciding on a course of action. You won't be notified of the results of their investigation, or the steps they took to correct the action, but they will do their best
to make sure that the Terms of Use are adhered to. Best to move on, in the meantime.

 

First, please do not name other gamertags on the forums, it is against the forum rules. Filing a complaint was the only thing you can do, and yes, all complaints are looked into. Some violations only receive a communications ban though. You should block
communications and avoid this player, both can be done via your console.

I named the gamertag as I was told to by Xbox Support. I just spoke to a lady on there, she told me to file a complaint and to also write a post on here, explaining my issue.
