    abuse about gamertag - needs changing


    I keep getting Sexist comments on xbl, forums and social media about my Gamer tag but I don't have enough money to change my Gamer tag. Any chance I could get a gamer tag change because I've had none stop comments for about a year now.

    Why am I CHARGED to change my gamertag?!

    If changing your GamerTag was free, everyone would abuse the name change.

    I think the price is reasonable.

    What is the justification behind charging to change your gamertag?

    Free gamertag change was abuse so much in the past, hence a fee to prevent trolls changing GT every 6 seconds.

    Sorry but if you want to change your tag you will have to pay.You only get a free name change if your tag violates the code of conduct & then you have no say in the tag you are given.

    If anyone sends you abusive messages over live then report the sender & block them.

    My Gamertag was banned for being “Offensive” and now I have to repay to change it again?

    Yes. If you have an offensive gamertag, you are required to pay to change it to something else.

    This prevents abuse. Coming to the forums will not result in a free gamertag change.

    Please note in past, you were able to get a free gamertag change, but it was prone to abuse with people picking eqaually offensive gamertags.

    If you wish to change it you will need to pay $10 CAD

    Personally I am happy that it's not free to change your gamertag.

    Think about it.. someone could abuse the ToS and then change his/her gamertag afterwards.

    I much rather pay $15.

    If you were given a forced gamertag change, you would need to go to http://enforcement.xbox.com to see about submitting a case review. If the enforcement team overturns their decision,
    you will be given a free change. Otherwise, you would have to pay if you want to change your name. They used to allow free changes with forced gamertag changes, but that was abused so it was taken away.
