Absurdity of changing accounts feature

Firstly, some background:

I created an XBox Live account when I was very young and foolish, utilizing a (then very popular) hotmail account that was related to my high school and sports team. It's since been seven years since creating the account, and I'm currently locked into the
arduous and ridiculously impossible group of features surrounding the movement of my GamerTag to a new email address. Said new email address was already used by my younger brother in order to hook up his own live account (he has like 5 gamerscore on it) which
has since been abandoned for his own email address, so I find myself in the odd position of having to free up that email, then move my current GT to it. Simple process, right?

Incredibly wrong.

From what I can tell, the functionality for this feature is only available on the 360 (because I know when I'm typing in passwords and email addresses, the best input for this is an XBox controller *eyeroll*), and, frustrating userface aside, there are many,
many things that I find roadblock my experience and make me incredibly aggravated.

For instance; if you only have this functionality available on the 360, why dear god is there a 30 day wait period between downloading a profile and moving it to a new account? Was there no thought to the fact that some users might be downloading
their old profiles for the sole purpose of moving them over? What security feature is this? Why is it necessary in any capacity?

Secondly, I'm trying to do this truffle shuffle and I keep hitting a roadblock that just says "Sorry, you can't move this account at this time" with a web url link to a general support feature. Why can't the XBox tell me on console why
this is? Why would you make your userbase jump between two mediums to perform a deceptively simple task? Where's the thought? Where's the QA?

Thirdly, the 90 day roadblock for changing security features... just... why? It's unnecessary wait time. How can a company like Google that's been around for a generation less pick up and run with functionality issues seemingly out of the gate when
Micorosoft struggles with the basics of user friendly interface?

For the pioneers of so many things, Microsoft seems to be really crapping the bed here in my eyes. I'm VERY disappointed and at this rate, I'll probably not be moving to the next console generation with this company. I've been a customer for seven years,
and owned every single XBox 360 that's been on market, paid for a Live subscription for this entire time, and the experience has left me nothing but drained.

I don't necessarily have a question that needs answered - just wanted to say thanks for finally souring a 7 year relationship, boys.

In a game built upon absurdity, how can you deny a higher level of absurdity?

Couldn't agree more. I am in the process of moving my boy's gamertag from my old Hotmail account to his own Outlook account, which he set-up when we acquired a new Windows 8.1 PC. Easy, you say! Just transition the gamertag from the old Hotmail to the new
Outlook...ahhh noes! The little fella decided to explore Xbox on the PC, thereby setting himself up a second gamer tag, and landing me in the HELL that is trying to set up a pointless temporary transfer address, to swap between - which it looks like takes
a minimum TWO MONTHS to fully resolve!!!! OMG. Xbox One purchase now INCREDIBLY unlikely. PS4 here I come. Dullards.
