same issue, reinstalling youtube does not work, resetting and re-linking all devices does not work as a fix, youtube page shows the app having access...

I want to ask when the issue happens what app are you going to before trying to go back into the game?

If it's YouTube, that is a known issue that was affecting Xbox's when switching to YouTube, then back to your game would cause the game to crash and then eventually the Xbox will shut down.

If it's any app then I would suggest the factory reset as mentioned before. I understand the concerns about your progress, but your progress is not permanently deleted after a factory reset because as long as you are connected to Xbox Live, your game data
is also saved to the Xbox Live Cloud and any data will re-sync once the game is re-installed.

Are the games and apps in question saved to an external HD or the internal HD?

Only youtube app works

Hi USAHHH,

You can set up your Xbox so that it sends an IR signal to your TV to turn it on with the Xbox and turn off with the Xbox at the same time. This can be done by going to Settings>TV & OneGuide>Device Control>Device Power Options and then set up your Xbox with
your TV by searching for your TV model.

Since this is only affecting YouTube, the app itself is more than likely having technical difficulties on the Xbox platform, which would need to be handled by Google & YouTube first and then implemented by the Xbox team in the form of an update to the console. Google/YouTube
has a team of app developers that work on the YouTube app and website for every platform. Once an app developer has a fix for a known issue that they acknowledged on whatever platform, they send that update to the engineers of the platform the fix is intended
for and then the update will be available to download on the device you have the app downloaded to.

If you haven't already done so, I recommend re-installing the app after a
hard reset and power cycle to the console. If it's still not streaming 4K correctly then I recommend asking YouTube support for help.
