About the third party ban

I have a personal question. My friend bought me a 200 dollar custom controller from AIM controllers and i was wondering with the third party ban that will be coming to xbox with that Controller be affected by it? Reason why is i don't want him to feel like he wasted money. I checked stuff on here and I'm trying to make sure if i have to buy a new controller or not

as long as it's using an official Xbox controller or one made by a third party licensee. with unaltered official firmware, you should be fine. A quick look at their website looks like it's mostly a paint job or the equivalent

In that case, you should contact the store where your friend purchased and customized the controller and inquire whether their controllers are official Xbox controllers or not. Only they can provide you with that information.

If the controllers they use for customization are official Xbox controllers, there shouldn't be any problem.

Accessories that cannot be used on Xbox consoles are those that are not official Xbox accessories or if they are not manufactured directly by Xbox, those that do not have the "Designed for Xbox" badge on their box:
