    Why MS fix the language choice with region? Many people live in foreign would like legacy language......

    At lease should like PS4, provide in game language choice.

    xbox one language. english in austria/germany?

    Sadly, there's no way to set the system language to English if you don't live in an English speaking country. I have the same problem, I absolutely hate the Brazilian Portuguese dubbed games and keep my settings as English/Canada (because Canada is more awesome, sorry US), but can't use credit card or Xbox Movies without resetting the system.
    For now, the best we can do is vote in one of the several Xbox Feedback demands to dissociate languages from region on Xbox or let you download games on a language different from the system language.

    System Language

    Boot the console up, press the guide button, go all the way to the right, down to the fourth option, press a, press a again, down to the third option, press a this should get you to the language selection screen .

    This assumes you're able to actually boot into the dashboard, if you get a screen as soon as you boot up that has some foreign looking language on it then it may be a more serious issue.

    Ok thank you, that actually solved my problem! :)

    The game apparently defaults to French when the language is set to English (and only French and German are available languages for the game).

    My region was set to Germany for some time but my console was always set to English. And the game always defaulted to French. So the game doesn't care about my region settings and only checks the language settings. When changing the console/system language to German the game is also German (English is not an option and when set as the system language changes the games language to French).

    Sorry to hear about the language barrier on this game. Are you able to adjust the supported language through in-game settings? Let's check your console's Language and Locale too, and make sure they are set to the correct options in Settings > System > Console.
