About the G's in achievements

Each achievement mentions a number of G's (50G or 10 G and so on) for accomplishments, but what does that mean exactly? Are they extra points? Do they unlock extra achievements? If not, then how can we get more challenges? I feel like I have accomplished
everything by now and would like more!!

Halo 4 level 21

I passed level 20, But did not gain the achievement for getting the level? I am trying to get some G's in D:

That is gamerscore. It has no effect on game play in any game and really doesn't effect anything. It's basically just a stat.

@Trippul G, I believe he is talking about the game progress, not achievements.

I think there will be a mix of old and new achievements.

Halo 3 got 1750 G and Halo 4 2000 G (DLCs included)....

I guess there will be achievements for each campaign but the multiplayer will have a new bunch of achievements....

I agree, achievements should count for something, I have stopped using Youtube on the Xbox One, apart from Waypoint it was about the only app I bothered with, I was horrified to get an achievement for watching something, it's a terrible idea.
