    The xbox support said that:

    • You can connect up to eight wireless controllers to a console.

    Is it means I can connect less than 8 controllers which they are open at same time or it means I can only connect less than 8 controllers while some of the 8 controllers are not opened on?

    About the controller connection

    You can only have eight controllers connected at any one time. But you can connect as many controllers as you want if you disconnect one, then connect the next one, and so on.

    Can I ask why you need 9 or more controllers connected at any given time? Just asking out of curiosity :)

    I feel an experiment needs to be conducted with the outcomes presented on this thread :)

    I only own two controllers so cant participate :-(

    I would like to know if I have more than 8 controllers(9 or more) wireless controllers and can I connect them one by one(when I connect the first one,I just then closed it and connect the next one) ps:Every time I just use one controller.
