About getting additional processing power....

ok... as we all know the xbox is able to hook up wirelessly and with an Ethernet port. now if you're using one of those to hook up to xbox live, why not use the other to hook up (or even the hdmi tv port...) to hook up to another xbox one to provide additional
processing power? A system update could allow for one xbox to take control of another and use it to power processing capabilities for the xbox being used for gaming. This would eliminate the need for using the cloud...

and yes before I get flamed for this... some of us DO have original xbox ones and the xbox one S.

the same idea could apply when xbox scorpio comes out next year....

Question about the "cloud"

You didn't answer my question... WHAT WILL CLOUD DO FOR ME??? What will additional processing power mean.. As in graphically, as in gameplay.

Kinect doesn't really count. Nor does the PlayStation Move for that matter.

Kinect may have a clever camera and everything, but it doesn't have any extra processing power. The Sega CD (or Mega CD in Europe other regions), had it's own processor, RAM and additional graphics capabilities. In fact, the Sega CD also utilised the Mega
Drive processor for it's games, effectively making the machine twice as powerful as the MD on it's own. The 32X had even more processing power.

From what I've read, Kinect was originally going to have additional processing capabilities, however to cut costs this was cut from the final product. Kinect games of course need Kinect to play, (but not to load) and all the internal game processing is done
by the 360. So Kinect is additional game accessory, it's not an upgrade.

 

I'm a little confused, you are suggesting that "additional processing power" eliminates the "need for using the cloud"? Would you mind clearing up what you are asking overall?

Are you talking about linking two consoles together to multiprocess so it's probably as
graphically powerful as the Scorpio? Or are you asking if connecting to the Internet through both Wi-Fi and Ethernet would help internet speeds? Either answer is a resounding "no", since the Xbox One was not built to multi-process, nor does connecting
both Wifi and Ethernet at the same time give you any advantage to your Internet speed (since you are connecting to one source that connects to your ISP at one speed).
