Ability to store save game files locally on xbox one

Basically my question is what it says above. Why can't we be allowed to store our save game files locally instead of in the cloud on xbox one for times like this when xbox live services are down? I'd be happy to forgo earning vc on nba 2k for a couple games
if I could just access my MyGM game file and save it after.

Hey Waylon, By chance are you using the Cloud feature for saving games? Why I ask is because the cloud will store your save files locally in the systems cache then will auto upload them to the cloud when you shut off the Xbox.

You can. Saves happen in both locations. If you try to play a game and can't retrieve from cloud it will ask you to continue without syncing. The game will then only save locally. Next time you boot the game and it notices 2 different saves, one in the cloud
and one on your HDD you will select continue from local save. They will then sync up and be the same.

If you aren't signed in to Xbox Live in the game, it stored save file in a Local user profile. Just needed to go to Saved Games\The Outer Worlds Windows 10 folder user profile, and then move the files from LOCAL to the profile for Xbox Live

they are saved locally and no cloud saving, when you uninstall it removes most files. why did you uninstall and not just update the game via the xbox app or store.

Sorry to hear about your issue with Minecraft. This is what I found on Mojang's website:

Minecraft for Xbox one files are stored locally on the console. If you sign in with an Xbox Live account, your worlds will also be backed up to Xbox

One cloud game saves.

Try that link and see if your files are stored there. Otherwise, I'm afraid they may be gone.

I found a temporary fix- every time before I play I need to clear local saved games on the Xbox One. Why is that occurring? What’s going on that causes the need to clear local saved games to enable the ability to hear other players?
