Abe's Oddworld - Aussie release?

Hey all,

Have done a bit of hunting, but am not finding a thing

Does anyone know if this is getting an aussie release? Or will I have to change my region to get it?

Love the game as a kid so am itching to get my hands on it again

How often do you throwback to older consoles?

Damn this makes think of Crash Bandicoot and Oddworld Abe's Oddysee!! According to ign Abe's Oddysee is coming to Arcade.

 

I Wish Someone Would Remake...

Oddworld Inhabitants is releasing Abe's Oddysee on The One in Q1 of 2015.

 

A good way to tell is going through the major's site and seeing if the marketplace link works for our region:

Unfortunately it doesn't, so I would assume they might still be jumping through some hoops before it's available for us . A lot of games on the Xbox One came weeks after the US release so I'm sure it will be coming and there will be no need to change your
region unless you're that desperate to play! Haha.

I really want this game as well so I've tweeted the developer, I'll report back if they respond.

 

That would be great mate, very curious to at least get a rough idea of date. I'm not desperate to play, but am impatient hahaha truth be told, i've got plenty more games to play lol

I didn't get a response, but I was feeling impatient so went through their tweets and replies and looks like someone asked the same questions. Their only real response of time frame was 'couple of weeks' so I assume sometime in April.

That was all I could find too I also saw somewhere a mention of 'a couple of days after the US release', however I think that was just wishful thinking lol

Sounds good mate! I'll update this thread if I hear of any solid release date as well. I shouldn't be surprised that we didn't get it at the same time, but this has been very common this generation for some reason.

 

Alas, it looks like we could be waiting a while. From what I've heard, the game is sitting with the ratings board and that is where the delay is stemming from

Here I was thinking that we were done with the ratings board messing with our games! lol

 

Haha, yeah I never got a response, the same thing happen with GTA San Andreas and we had to wait about a month before the board got on with it, such a joke with both of these games being previously rated in Aus.

 

My thoughts exactly, its one thing if its a brand new game, but this is just a remake... plus if they can release a physical version of the game on the same day worldwide, then digital shouldn't be any harder

It was rated exactly 4weeks ago today and still no release date from Oddworld developer. Can't think of any reason to hold the game back unless MS is holding it back for a reason. They even released the PS3 version 2 weeks ago don't understand the delay,
something doesn't add up.

I'm actually SO sick of them always saying 'soon' or 'very soon' and also think it's pretty poor that we have to wait until the patch when other regions have been playing this whole time.

 

How does that even work, is it a regional patch? Only affects us? weird.

 

I finally got a response on Twitter and they said it will be out this Wednesday, we shall see.
