AAA Zombie Sandbox

Hey all

Playing Watch Dogs all day and really enjoying it, it has me thinking though, why isnt there a story driven AAA Zombie Sandbox on the market... I know what some of you are thinking "Dead Rising 3... Duh!" but lets face it, it more comical than serious and
puts more emphasis on zombies on screen then quality story.

I say to developers, give us gamers a Watch Dogs quality zombie sandbox with powerful story and choices as delivered by Telltale Games and they will have many happy customers and many dollars in the bank!!!

Definately a more entertaining version of the original.



"Vacation Mode" if just sandbox fun.

State of Decay was a decent zombie sandbox game and the developers are working on game for Xbox 1 now I believe.

 

I'm fine with Dead Rising 3. Zombie games are a dime a dozen these days. You're not going to get anything that much better than Dead Rising and its to the point where they shouldn't try.

The industry needs to move on from zombies and flesh out another monster. There's only so much story telling you can do on a horde of slow moving brain dead creatures. The fact that zombies are able to wipe out humanity is comical.

 

I myself prefer Telltale's The Walking Dead. It's not a sandbox, but the story more than makes up for it by pulling on the heart-strings every single chance that it gets.

 

State of decay 2 (I hope!)

 

I played the trial of State Of Decay on the 360 but never got around to getting it, I would consider it again if it, or a sequel gets released on the Xbox One.

 

State if Decay is my favorite zombie game. It's open world, but it is really small. DR3 is tiny as well. You could find bigger worlds on the PS2. lol

Dying Light looks to be good so I'm really excited for that. Dead Island was decent as well.

 

I'm waiting on Dying Light since I loved the original Dead Island. I didn't get into State Of Decay tho but it doesn't sound bad. Fingers is still crossed for L4D3. If and when it releases it will be the best zombie game ever.

 

H1Z1 Looks good it's a Sony game but you can get it on PC. It's a zombie mmo but kinda sandboxy.

 

I've been baggering undead labs on twitter so hopefully we'll see State of Decay on the Xbox One at some stage.

 

Well, not just yet, but you will be getting another State of Decay on the Xbox 360 called
.

 

^That's actually just a DLC for State of Decay, not really another one.
