    Hi guys,

    I have just bought a new Xbox Series X. Upon console setup, I have created a new Xbox / Microsoft account and used this same account on the Xbox. In parallel, I am also using the Xbox app on my phone.

    When I access my account on Xbox.com, I can see in "devices" two consoles : one Xbox Series X (that has my serial number) and a Xbox One.

    Since I have never purchased an Xbox One in my life and have never used my account on another Xbox), I am wondering why this appears in my devices ? It has no name and no serial number..

    Is it expected or a bug ?

    Is it expected though or is it a bug ? I went on forums and I could see that many people faced the same behaviour.

    i found the problem from the troubleshooting list. somehow my xbox one profile was set to appear offline. i have never set it to that. once i set it back to appear online, it fixed the problem. now to solve the mystery of how my xbox one profile got set

    Bought Minecraft as Gift but redeem code did not work!

    That is the account that I used to make the purchase. OK, if I log in to my MS account, that account has the purchase history, if I then switch over to my Xbox profile, staying in the MS account. That is the same profile that appears when I log in, for the refund process! It's the same account!!!

    Is that the issue, that my MS account is linked with the wrong Xbox profile, do I have another mysterious Xbox profile that I don't know about?

    Microsoft and the mystery ghost account

    When you make a Profile on an Account that does not have a Profile already attached to it will make a random GamerTag. That is the "mystery account". It sounds like you entered the wrong information and created two Accounts.
