a xbox live member hacked my IP AND KICKED ME OFFLINE

i have been threatened with messages at 07:09 GMT after having traffic put through my internet the message stated that was your first warning he then proceeded to say hes going to keep an eye on my gamertag to cause me further trouble. i have spoken with
your support team who guided me to here. i have 10 messages off him with threatening behaviour. he has also told me where i live due to reading my ip details which he can do via my gamertag/connection via internet. His gamertag is
[Mod Removed]. i have saved the messages for evidence.

Kicked offline

I was in an Xbox live party with a friend when her friends joined started talking about my IP and se sequentially kicked me offline with my IP. The people who we're talking about my IP. Are as follows

Kicked off Xbox

I got kicked off of Xbox Live by a guy named [mod removed] he sent me a message with my IP address and he kicked me offline and told me to change my motto to VendettaTheGod runs you or he woukld kick me offline for 5 days, i removed him and blocked communications
and set my prefrences to offline, but i need help so i do'nt get kicked offline again

 

The support team have lied to you.

For a start the forum has a no name and shame rule, and has no section to make reports anyway.

The two things you need to do are file a complaint through your console on this person and secondly, and most importantly, notify your Internet Provider of the attack.

Microsoft will have a hard time proving anything, as the attack didn't come from Live, your ISP however will know exactly how to deal with this.

 

i have filed a complaint but what good will that do?

i do not want to keep getting traffic directed through my internet due to this user.

 

Have you contacted your ISP?

Microsoft will investigate if they can. The problem they have is that the attack didn't come from Live, it didn't happen over their service.

The attack took your internet connection away, it didn't attack Live directly.

So while Microsoft will investigate, it is going to be hard for them to prove anything.

As I said the people who need to contact is your Internet Service Provider. Since the type of attack you describe is illegal and affecting their network, your ISP has a lot more power here than Microsoft.
