    I see this posted on other "user" sites, but I couldn't find it in some searches here on the true xbox site. I could really use the ability for one of my xboxes to download a game and then have it share that image with local xboxes instead of me having
    all my xboxes downlaod from the online servers individually. Im not asking for playing off line or asking for free copies to play - Im just trying to avoid two issues when I have 2 or 3 xboxes and we get a uge update to halo or buy a new game (multiple copies)
    and all want to play soon:

    1. the downloading over the internet can take a very long time - this is lame if the game is released and we want to play ASAP.

    2. Seriously these games and demos and updates are getting huge - I am downloading the free beta of wildlands - and its 20GB? so times my three xboxes thats 60GB download in one day- and comcast is counting every byte.

    please microsoft consider adding this local image sharing thing it would be less load and traffic on your servers too, and all the IP rights stuff stays the same - please!

    myVIP rewards on game gifting?

    Do I collect reward points via myVIP when I buy a game via digital game gifting on the Microsoft/Xbox Marketplace? I especially interested to buy games for LAN Partys on my 4 Xbox One Consoles or 5 Xbox Consoles (incl. 360).

    The best way would be to declare multiple home console (1., 2., 3., ...) and get multiple licenses, but today the only way is to get multiple discs and one digital license for building up a local area network setup.

    Creating a second account with Xbox Live Gold would allow 4 Player LAN with Xbox Live and I could get 10% off for the digital licenses. That could be sheaper as buying 1 digital license and 2 disc games, especially when it comes to dlcs.

    Streaming via LAN

    I have done some streaming from my xbox before. However, my question is there a way to San via LAN rather than using my internet connection? It seems a bit strange while connected on a local network why it must use an internet connection to do this. I've
    used wireless router to connect LAN parties before and it seems to me it should be possible to do the same for streaming. Any ideas?

    I am getting error 0% message while downloading any game through Xbox game pass. Plz suggest any solutions.
    I´d the same issue today...

    solution was to switch from LAN to WLAN for me at the office.

    No idea why it seems not working with LAN cable in my way

    NAT type is open and again this is going over my local network, it is not cloud gaming or remote play. Unfortunately I do not have another internet connection to try. I should mention that I am a Cisco engineer and I have examined my LAN and done speed tests from my PC to router, Xbox one X does not have anything that will allow my to test the local network connection from Xbox to router.

    You would have to connect to Xbox Live to play together. So the answer is yes, All local LAN Xbox's need Xbox gold to play together.
    I'm not sure this correct... All LAN hosted worlds should not require Xbox Live to play. It's only over the Xbox network that this is required.

    Just make sure your PC network is set to PRIVATE and not PUBLIC, but there is an open support case for this exact problem with the Xbox One version:

    If by crossover you mean one Ethernet cable just from one Xbox to the other, that won't work for anything. You need a router that they both connect to, to have them contact each other on LAN.

    Regular Ethernet is all you need.

    The only way to check to see if this works is to use a game that has a LAN option in the multi-player menu.

    Make sure you are doing the following:

    Multiplayer Options

    Minecraft (Bedrock) supports the following multiplayer options:

    • Locally hosted multiplayer world via LAN or Xbox Live
    • Realms
    • Servers (unofficial, third party server software)
    Locally hosted multiplayer world via LAN or Xbox Live

    Any world can be a locally hosted multiplayer world, and accessible to other
    Minecraft     players.

    To start, create new world or load an existing one. Then, select World Settings (pencil icon) →
    Multiplayer → Multiplayer Game. If all players are on the same local network, you may also toggle on
    Visible to LAN Players.

    Other player(s) can join the world by navigating to the Friends tab and selecting the world.
