a unique situation

A small peice of backstory: my nephew brought his xbox to my house, i created a profile, gamertag, and xbox live. Now i own my own xbox and i want to use that same email but i made a new profile because i couldnt download the old one. The new one has all
of my game saves and achievements.

How do i delete the old profile and gamertag associated with my email and replace it with the current one?

Ive tried moving the old gamertag to a new MS acct but it wont let me even though i meet all the requirements and conditions for the old and new accts.

I also dont want to associate the new profile to a new MS acct because i have $15 on my current acct.

Can you have different (unique) settings for each? I have a 1080p PC monitor and a 720p TV. I have to change the settings every time I switch from PC streaming to TV play and vice-versa. So, is there any way to establish unique settings for each situation?

So if I understand correctly, you would prefer your new xbox live account moved to the old email address. Correct?

The only way to remove a gamertag from an email address is by moving it to a different email address (Microsoft Account), but in order to do so, the account must be on a console for at least 30 days without it being downloaded in that period.

Besides that, replacing it with the new one, will also result in loss of the balance on the current account, since that would need to be moved too.

Im confused. I read that only 'purchases' made with the gamertag would be moved to the new email address, but the balance of unspent money would stay.

 

Sorry, my mistake... that should have said 'removed' and not moved.

Any balance will remain on the Original Microsoft Account. So for example if you have a balance of 15 on Microsoft Account A that is connected to Xbox Live account 1, and you move Xbox Live Account 1 to a different Microsoft Account (B).

The balance will remain on Microsoft Account A, all purchases, xbox live subscription and gamerscore etc, those will move with xbox live account 1 to the different Microsoft Account (B).

Ok, so if i move XBOX LIVE acct 1 from MS acct A to B, and then connect Xbox Live acct 2 to MS acct A, will that be ok? Ill have access to that balance and whatnot?

 

I'm not sure exactly what will happen, if it will be removed or stay behindon the MS account. If I would guess I would guess it stays on the MS account, which would make it accessible for Xbox Live Account 2 in your example.

But just in case I would advise to try and use the funds before moving an xbox live account to a different Microsoft Account
