    A tough decision...

Didn't they stop XBL support for the first Xbox in 2010? That's like 5 years after 360 came out. If that's the case, then they shouldn't drop 360 support for the same duration, 5 years, seriously no less than 3 years, after Xbox 1 has launched. Xbox 360
is awesomeness more peps are on it than on Xbox 1. Most of my friends including myself who do own Xbox 1 always go back to Xbox 360. Xbox 360 is too popular for them to drop XBL before November 22, 2016 (when Xbox 1 turns 36 months or 3 years, old).

XBL support.... I don't know tbh. I thought you meant support as in the console and games. Live, I have no idea.

"Support for Xbox Live on the console ended on April 15, 2010"

Wikipedia article: Xbox (successor, Xbox 360).

Xbox 360 was released I think 2005. So they didn't cut support for it til 5 years pretty much after the successor came out. This is why I think game developers and Microsoft, shouldn't cut XBL support for 360 at least 3-5 years after Xbox 1 came out.

Once Microsoft decides to no longer support 360, game developers will then concentrate on Xbox 1 platform since 360 will have no more multiplayer support.

  4. A tough decision...

Hello everyone A tough decision... :)

When the Xbox 360 came out, Microsoft dropped support for the Original Xbox almost immediately.

Game development was then focused on the Xbox 360 only.

My Xbox 360 isn't going anywhere A tough decision... :)

I am really happy that the Xbox 360 is still being supported with new games and I will only buy the Xbox One version of new games if they are worth it.

Alien Isolation, The Evil Within, and Dragon Age Inquisition are " LOW PRIORITY " games for me; hence the reason they aren't worth the Xbox 360 version.

LOW PRIORITY games are the ones that I don't care about if I ever get to play them, but I wouldn't mind picking-up when they're really cheap A tough decision... :)

The more support that the Xbox 360 gets, it means that I will be able to play more of the newer games that I otherwise wouldn't buy for the Xbox One.

Why am I choosing the Xbox 360 versions over the Xbox One versions you ask, the answer is quite simple really...

" It is because I have 192 GBs of Flash Drive space. Xbox 360 games are 8 GBs max & Xbox One games are at least 50 GBs each. I will not waste my Xbox One's HDD space with LOW PRIORITY games ".

Have a nice day or afternoon or night everyone A tough decision... :)

I know the Atari stopped multiplayer support for Test Drive Unlimited (TDU1) (a game) on Xbox 360 in 2012 yet it's December 2014 and Microsoft still has XBL support vibrantly for 360. TDU1 came out 2006. TDU2 (Test Drive Unlimited 2) came out February 2011
for Xbox 360 and Atari/Eden Games hasn't shutdown multiplayer support for the game yet which is good.

I too love my Xbox 360 slim 250gb console. Xbox 1 version of games are going to look better than the 360 version of games due to Xbox 1's better hardware. Currently have 13 Xbox 1 games (62GB left on my console) and about 24 Xbox 360 games. Game devs are
likely to focus on the platforms which get the most attention, which is why 360 is still receiving at least some attention.

  6. Hello everyone A tough decision... :)

As long as the Xbox One versions are being optimized to their full potential, then I have no issues at all with making the Xbox 360 version for new games A tough decision... :)

    Hello "Fatalshock8912" A tough decision... :)

The Xbox One would have to be incredibly epic for it to overtake the Xbox 360 as my all time favorite console ever.

  9. Well, apart from Gears of War there is nothing on the Xbox 360 for me to really go back to. It's all a matter of opinion, but I go by my enjoyment of a console. In that regard I could easily put the Gamecube in my top consoles out of the number of amazing
times I had on it. The Xbox franchise does admittedly hold a special place in my heart though.

  11. They have. The life-span of the 360 and PS3 were great for PC gamers
as it meant system requirements never rose that much.

Now of course they are going to because of the more powerful consoles. Of course there is another reason for the rise in PC requirements, and that is lack of optimisation.

Look at Shadow of Mordor as an example. The Ultra setting requires not only 8GB of RAM, the same as in the consoles, but also a graphics card with 6GB of vRAM. There's really no reason for that except lack of optimisation.

Developers are concentrating on the consoles at the moment and expecting PC gamers to just go out and buy more powerful hardware.

  12. I don't think the 360/PS3 are holding back the new consoles, it is going to take awhile before developers are familiar enough with the new consoles to get the most out of them anyway. Even new gen exclusive titles haven't been a big jump from the 360/PS3
era yet(in my opinion at least). That being said my 360 barely gets any play time now the XB1 has taken over. Granted if I had more time/money I'd probably play both a bit but I don't have much gaming time and I don't have the extra cash to spend replacing
worn out 360 controllers(rather buy new games).

its pretty normal for that to happen at the start of any gen, i think in a year or 2 we'll see the old systems phased out and most games will be current gen only, for the most part i don't see anyhting held back though. AC made different games for current
gen and last gen, games like titanfall didn't take a hit, and many games aren't on last gen like ryse, DR3, SO, halo:MCC, and coming soon scalebound, evolve, batman, quantum break, fable legends, to name a few

  14. I'm with you Lei Fang..the 360 has been my favorite console of all time to as it has given me loads of good times with classics like Doom to X-men Arcade to new games like Mass Effect to Red Dead Redemption but sadly all things must come to an end and a
way must be paved for the new.

My 360 will never meet the closet and played regularly of course even after the eventual loss of online support but i will be able to live with that as the one grows and is the main focus.

I love my 360 slim console too, BEST console I've tried in my life!

Xbox 1 would be my 2nd console I've ever tried. I did get a PS2 slim but got rid of it not long afterwards, it was to play Test Drive Unlimited.

I guess it's holding things back a little. But Microsoft and game devs are going to continue to support 360 as long as it's profitable and popular which I thing it definitely is. Game devs can make games for both, they just have to put into consideration
the hardware limitations on 360 compared to the 1.
