A system update is required to sign in to Xbox LIVE, but the update is currently unavailable.

Hopefully this gets fixed soon, I just recently renewed my gold and now I cant even use it. I wish I had followed my instincts and not have done this whole preview program thing. After this I'll probably unregister my console from it.

 

Hmmm, I had already posted an answer here, but its not showing. Anyway, problem solved, all I had to do was a power cycle

Xbox 360 is getting disestablished. It's best to consider selling the system. I mean it's no longer playable or accessible. Only Xbox One is playable.

Hello, I am having an issue with my Xbox 360. It is saying there is a requirement of a system update but the update is currently unavailable. I have deleted the system update and re-downloaded it 4 times now and it is still not working when my xbox restarts.
I have also contacted customer support and chatted with user "Lily B" and she is saying this is a common issue with Preview customers.

 

Mine is like this too. Tried all the fixes and went through stuff with chat support. Still broken

 

I was on the phone with microsoft and someone told me it should be fixed by tommorrow anyone else had any other times?

 

Only representatives are saying that. I've gotten within an hour while others have been told three. I think they are just saying that because they are stumped and don't want to say it. There is no official word from Microsoft that they have even acknowledged
the problem that I can find.

 

Same here I've re downloaded update a good few times. Was on phone to support for half hour they said to delete me account so did that and did the download again and still no luck. So now can not use xbox.

 

I also can not re download my profile as I can not connect to anything. Which is a bummer

 

I wish there was official word on this. I'm having the same trouble and a bunch of threads have been started about this and lots of other people are having the same issue.

 

So, I just got home from work and wanted to play for a bit. When I went to turn in my xbox I noticed the power light was blinking slowly, like when you turn it off and there is a download in progress (it shuts down partially but continues with the download).
I thought it was weird because I wasn't downloading anything. Then, when I turn it on it asks me to download an update, I did, it downloaded fast and rebooted the xbox, then another update was ready for download, I downloaded it too. After it finished and
I tried to log in to xbox live I got the message above. I tried clearing my cache and downloading the update again via "testing xbox live connection" but it didnt work.

You also may need to know that I was offered by Xbox to participate in beta system updates a few months ago and I accepted, thinking I was going to contribute to make xbox better, but I was certainly not expecting this kind of problem. Having said this,
Im not sure if I should manually download the update and installing it via USB/CD/DVD since I don't really know if the latest general update would work for my console. Help, please?

 

I'm either unable to sign in, update required but not available or I can sign in but get the 8015000a code and unable to access anything. This is unacceptable,. I just renewed my Live subscription after a 6 month hiatus and will be canceling it for good
as this is no use at all to me.

 

its been doing this to me ever seince yesterday morning ive called xbox and they said theirs nothing we can do about it till the update is fixed we cant rollback to the previouse update or anything so now we just have to sit here and wait for them to fix
their stuff but the lady couldnt give me a time frame
