    I suffered a major PC crash this past summer. Tonight, I finally reloaded the first Age of Empires Definitive Edition. Before I could do that, I had to update Windows.

    I opened the AoE app, and it asked me to sign in to Xbox Live. After entering my email account and password, I received an error message which read, "A specified logon session does not exist. It may have already been terminated."

    I tried signing in with the Xbox Console Companion app, but I had the same result.

    I tried to install the Xbox Console Companion app Beta Version, but I received an error message that said, "We encountered an error. Please try signing in again later. I waited over 30 minutes, tried again, and received the same error message.

    I rebooted my computer, and went through everything again, and had the same results.

    Hello Andre, option 1 didn't work. It won't even let me sign in to the Microsoft Store app.

    Option 2 however did work, I was able to login.

    What should I do next?

    Option 1:

    Open Start > Settings > Accounts > Your info

    Click sign in with a local account instead

    Enter your current password

    Click Next

    Enter a name, password, confirm it, enter a hint

    Click Next

    Click Sign out and Finish

    Sign into the account

    Open Start > Settings > Accounts > Your info

    Click sign in with a Microsoft account instead

    Enter the email address of the account you want to use

    Click Next

    Enter your Microsoft Account password

    Enter the current Local account password used to sign into the account

    Click Next and you should be signed in with the new account.

    Option 2:

    Could you confirm if this also happens in the default Administrator account?

    Open Start

    Type: cmd

    Right click CMD

    Click Run as administrator

    At the command prompt, type:

    net user administrator /active:yes

    Hit Enter

    Close command prompt, restart, then try signing into the Administrator account.

    Try signing into the Xbox beta app again.
