I learned that dash in 1410 (for those in Update Preview) has a new update to the control!

New update/dash is rolling out to the public now so you can at least see what I was banging on about & download any available 4k updates.

We can also get ready for the influx of "I hate the new dash" threads

I'm more surprised by the number of people who don't realise one of its main purposes is to help Microsoft find bugs and then start complaining that it has bugs.

The best part about being a regular or 'core' Xbox user - Gold level status aside - is that the publicly available, mandatory updates have been tried and tested and proven to be 100% safe. Apparently, there's anecdotal evidence "out there" that suggests
early previews or beta builds are not good for the health of your console. So you're right... I WON'T be begging for invites or asking to be an "insider" anytime soon! Thanks for for #not welcoming me.

I'd just like to thank all those preview program members for their willingness to risk bugs, crashes or worse to test out the new software before it's finalized. I really thought I'd be able to come up with a reason to thank those who joined and yet still
complain about the problems by the time I was done typing this... but... I got nothin'.

Just like in previous years, there are risks of being in the Preview Program. You're a lab rat if you are in it. Your console and computer Operating System is essential as it is the sole piece of software that controls your device. I've heard comments from
those in it, say "it wiped my HDD" "it deleted my friends list" "it crashed my Xbox which has an 8 CORE AMD APU". You could even get a virus on your console from an incorrectly made OS version. It isn't properly coded and ready which is why Microsoft hasn't
released it to the Public. Genuine Xbox 360 consoles don't get viruses. One of the reasons why is Microsoft makes Updates on it, mandatory. And they don't do this Preview Program on it. I think everyone should be running the most up to date OS on their consoles.
But yes, a lot of people are complaining about the Late March 2017 Update. Don't worry, Microsoft will surprise us with their next Update, due out in April 2017. They Update the console OS pretty much on a monthly bases. Maybe I should march to the Official
Feedback Site and say Hey, your March 2017 sucks, then link the first page of the Xbox 1 general discussion forum on a site they own, as all of the first page is littered in I hate the March Update threads. Then they'd be like.... .... Oh, we did something
wrong.
