  1. A solution for controllers not responding.

The night that Titanfall released I had a problem with both of my controllers not working. It did not matter if they were connected with a usb cable or not they would not work. After trying everything I could think of, and thinking my system was broken,
I unplugged the console from the wall outlet, and waited about two minutes. After plugging it back in, I turned ti back on and to my very pleasant surprise everything began working as it should. Just thought I would pass the info along.

    :)

  2. Controllers Not Responding

Or more accurately, the console is frequently not responding to the wireless controllers. All the proper lights are on on both devices, and usually it gives out after working just a moment before, and will frequently work again after a reboot. But the number
of times it becomes unresponsive when I try to navigate media apps like YouTube are alarming.

I'm thinking it may be a problem with my console sensing the controller commands, but the problem is so intermittent and difficult to deliberately re-create that it's very difficult to tell.

it's a refurbished old-style console from GameStop that I've had for about two years, so it's almost certainly out of warranty. It isn't modded and I haven't hears anything from LIVE about errors of that sort affecting my account.

How do I verify the source of the problem, and what can I do to correct it once I do?

The issue maybe with the rechargable battery. After a while the battery does start to go bad and you may have to buy a new one, same goes for the cord for the controller. To check this try taking the battery out and plugging in the controller and using it this
way, if the problem still exist it may be the controller itself giving you the problem and you may need to get a new one.

Controller button not working for Minecraft

Still isn’t working. I would appreciate if they could figure out a solution. Controller isn’t responding to anything on Minecraft, but it’s working on literally ALL other games.

    Controller on but not responding

Moved it last night far away from any other source. Played for an hour or so without issue. Played again this morning for an hour or so and then it just acted up again. Was in a game on a map scrolling places pressing up on the dpad and it just froze like
i was holding it down, continuiusly scrolling. Removed batteries, pressed power button and it lit up solid but remained frozen.

    Controls not responding

Hi, Derek. My name is Ron, I'm an independent advisor. I will be more than happy to help you.

Please try the following steps one at a time to resolve the issue:

Solution 1: Do a power cycle to clear the cache of the console

    1. Turn off the Xbox console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.

    2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

Important Be sure to wait 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

    3. Plug the console power cable back in.

4, Press the Xbox button on your console to turn on the Xbox console.

Solution 2: Check for any pending game updates.

Go to “My Apps & Games”, select Hogwarts Legacy, and press the more options button. From the list, select “Manage game & add-ons” and then “Updates”. Any updates will be available here.

Solution 3: Uninstall and reinstall the game.

Solution 4: Do a factory reset

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

    2. Select System > Settings > System > Console info.

    3. Select Reset console.

    4. Reset and keep my games & apps.
