A Salty Rant

Let me start this crybaby session by saying that I am not an angel on XBL. I have been prone to trash on enemies and some teammates in game, but the sensitivity of the banhammer system is a bit insane to me. I logged on this evening only to recieve a message
saying that I've been comm banned for 1 day (It's actually a few hours longer than that, but I digress). Apparently I have been sending messages that are considered "Bullying." Again, I can agree that I'm an asshat online, but it isn't out of pure hatred and
salt. Most of the time, it's simply a joke or a play on the game, though I understand that the whole "It's just a joke, y u haff to be mad" thing is not valid, so let's move on.

I think this is a failure to press a point. The last 3 conversations I had (outside of my friends list) were positive, all 3 times of which I had messaged the person that they did well. ("How does your back feel from carrying so hard?", "It's nice to have
a good teammate," etc.) I was punished for.... making friends? I understand that past conversations have been less than positive, but what is the goal here? Why not send this during my "salty season?" Just missed the mark there.

Speaking of the time of punishment, it was apparently started at 4 pm June 3rd, a time when I WASN'T ONLINE. It began when I wasn't even on XBL to talk trash. My only guess is that somebody reported me for something that was said forever ago at that specific
time, which kinda ruins the whole point.

Again, I am no saint. I'm not here to make myself some perfect little xbox boy, but the banhammer system is broken beyond belief. How about warnings? How about a way to tell when you are close to bans? I'm lucky that it's only (a little over) 24 hours, but
the fact that it was so sudden and unnecesarry just blows my mind.

This... doesn't teach anything. It doesn't help the community and the people in it. I have friends that are constantly getting day/month/year bans, and just make new accounts. They don't care and just find the easy loopholes. I'm not just here to annoy the
world with my salt; I actually kind of have a point.

Fix this problem. Add warnings, make it obvious to the player that they are riding some fine line, or have crossed it. And for the love of god, don't just take away my ability to talk to my friends because one little xboy decides to have his friends and
smurf accounts report another.

Whatever point was meant to be in this system is lost to me. But, who cares, right? I'll just keep playing after this is all over, and microsoft as a whole will keep not caring. I just know to walk on eggshells in my personal interactions with others. We'll
all live unhappily ever after. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

TL;DR: Xbox's banhammer system needs a change, my social interactions need to be thinned, and no lessons were learned.

I don't get your rant here. X1 has head sets. If you are salty you brought what you thought to be next gen headset without any knowledge of next gen then that's personal.

The reason you didn't get instant banned when sending inappropriate message is that investigation by the Enforcement team can take time to be sure a rightful punishment will be given as per the CoC and ToU of Xbox which you agree to follow in the beginning
upon making an account with Xbox.

behavior on what you need to change to prevent being suspended.

Another one last advice, don't be like your bad friends who keep getting perma banned on their account in repeatedly violating Xbox laws by simply making new account, because if repeated offense using
the same console can lead to console banned which will be the end of their access and all the trouble they are doing on XBL.

Thanks for the info, and yes, I know that you agree to terms and codes and such when you make an account, just like every other website and program you choose to join/download. I'm not new to this, though you seem to have a this demeaning attitude. This
can only end well.

Yep, there it is. Cool so first thing; yeah I read them. You missed my point entirely. My goal wasn't to say "Oi I did nothing wrong and deserve the world!" It was a critique of the punishment system, though you must have missed that part from the view on
your high horse. I'm thoroughly aware of microsoft's code of conduct and Terms of Usage. I was simply saying that I think that the system needs work in the effect of warning players, the punishments given, and the lack of a point to the punishment, as they
have no real value.

If you are aware of MS's CoC and ToS then how come you miss the warnings on them that if a rule was broken you will be punish? You're not making much sense dude.

I'm not some kind of a Holy shaman lol, just informing you that their are rules on XBL that when you broke them and got reported you can get punish. All you can do now is learn from it and move on.

Show respect and courtesy to players from now on and follow the rules and you will never get suspended ever, trust me on that

That's up to you, I'm just giving you the facts of the banning system of XBOX and my observation about your gaming attitude, I don't know why you seems to be insulted even reporting me being just honest with my thoughts, when you admitted to have an attitude
problem also a problem following rules and using vulgar words with every responses.

But okay I guess we can still have a decent discussion without you using mean words and go to your exact point about Xbox having a warning system before you got perma banned. Actually that is what temporary suspensions are for, a warning,
