Hi, i'm one of the first few thousands of people who puchased an xbox one shorlty after its release date. Now, I bought the xbox one with a kinect and 500gb of storage for $500 no games included. Now you can buy and xbox one with 1Tb of storage and a free
game for $349. So whats up with that? Am I being ripped off?

Man blows to hear you guys getting TK'd like that. Honestly the best way to play is with friends this shows that to be true.

If you bought just about anything a year and a half ago would you still expect it to be the same price? Get over it you've had the benefit of having it all that time !!

 

Absolutely not. This is the way of electronics. The console is worth 500 dollars. The losses they are taking show this.

I am a Day One adopter, and no price can make me take back the excitement and waiting in line at midnight on November 22nd 2013. Especially watching the console evolve since Day One.

Personally, I am happy for those who are getting these deals.

 

I'm one of those day one buyers...... I do not feel ripped off. I knew what I was paying when I bought it, I knew the console would be cheaper in the future but I didn't want to wait it out.

 

Businesses don't take losses. It's not good for their "bottom line." So if what you posted has an element of truth in it, then they are making it up in 100's of Billions somewhere else.

 

Prices go down all the time do a little more research next time

 

I don't feel ripped off, but I wish I had waited a bit longer to get one. Everyone should know consoles comes down in price after a year or 2, and for if some unknown reason you didn't, well you know better next time.

 

Xbox one was release in Europe with a free game (Forza 5 or Fifa 14) Nov 2013.

In March 2014,Xbox one was sold with Titanfall for free.

And the list goes on....

Haha, I thought we'd gotten past this, all I can do is laugh now.

Day one buyer and loving the new deals to tempt new users to the platform, bring it on.

 

It was bound to happen just look at the various storage upgrades a few years after the Xbox 360 came out. As for the free game everybody else has covered that already. It doesn't bother me I am happy with my console. Only time I won't be happy if something
dies in it. Which I'll probably just get a new one.

 

Just out of curiosity, how many consoles do you think they sold around release date? There were a few more than a "few thousand" sold.

To answer your question, you are not being ripped off.

 

On the day you were purchasing your Xbox, if someone had walked up to you and said "Hey, I know a way to save you $151... plus I can get you an extra 500GB of storage and a game for nothing extra!" you would've been asking "how!?" If their answer had been
"Wait for ~1.5 years to buy it!" you would have had a decision to make.

Option A: Tell them "Get lost, I'm not waiting that long to get my new console even though I won't get that deal."

Option B: Tell them "Yes, I'll take that deal... I want the $151 savings, the extra storage and the game. I will wait ~1.5 years to buy my Xbox."

If you would've chosen option A, you answered your own question.

If you would've chosen option B, why didn't you?
