    A quick question regarding backwards compatibility and Region locking


    I was wondering if anyone could help me out. Due to living in the UK I missed out on a very select few Xbox 360 games that were region locked to America. I was wondering since the Xbox One is Region free if I could import these games from America and play
    them on my Xbox One if/when they become available on backwards compatibility, thanks.

    Game availability in the store can vary region to region. Because Backward Compatibility requires a download through Xbox Live, you'll need to own games that's are available in your region as some titles may not be available for download.

    If your account region doesnt reflect your actual region that would be why as it is region locked
