A post about the record/upload feature...

Does anybody else think its a bit silly to just make it say 'record that'? I mean, i want to choose when i start my recording! Multiple times i have tried to record something and it always cuts off some of my video...

Concern about the Xbox record and upload feature.

Just assign a hand gesture for kinect to start recording, just thinking outside the box on that one.

Just feels like 5mins and 30secs are both fairly useless. 15mins on PS4 sounds far superior. Does just feel like bad news after bad news with X1 sometimes. Hopefully there is more to this feature and we can still make longer videos in some way.

I usually snap game dvr,then i can start to record or stop to record and choose how long i want to keep and i unsnap.

Later,i go to Upload studio and edit when it's needed.

Have it set to record.. when you are done... Xbox go to Game DVR, End Clip now > 5 minutes > Save

The "record that" feature has been great for me, because there's been a bunch of moments in games where something good/crazy/funny happens and I'm able to capture it. That said, even after owning the console from launch I still sometimes forget that the
feature is even there, lol.

As for the regular Game DVR, I don't use it because it doesn't allow recordings that are long enough. I want to be able to record, say, a full Titanfall match. I understand why they might not allow people to share clips that long on Live, but I have hundreds
of GB of free space in my OneDrive account, so I could upload the video there, or upload it to YouTube. AFAIK, there's no reason why the console couldn't do it, given that if you have the TV tuner, you can pause live TV for up to half an hour, so half an hour
of TV is being recorded to the drive.

I'll post legitimately here for sec. If you mute the in game voice then yes the Kinect can still receive commands.
