Hey mate,

That sounds like a spam message to me. There are sometimes cases where dummy xbox live accounts are created for the sole purpose of SPAM, so that could be why you are seeing different names.

I'd suggest simply reporting the message, and then deleting it.

I would also suggest never opening any attachments unless you know who is sending it to you, as you just don't know what could be in them

sad fact: iv deleted and reported over a hundred of these this year alone. i always view the profile of who sends these and then report them once i notice its a fake account. i then BLOCK the profile to prevent future spam from them. if you watch/stream

You were forced to change your gamertag because your gamertag must have violated the code of conduct, you were told so and made aware by the forced gamertag change. As far as the person sending you the message, I think it was just a coincidence that he sent

You can send it via the Xbox app. Type in his gamertag, and then click send message. Also, I recommend keeping personal info of that kind off the forums.
