A new xbox account was creating when trying to sign into another xbox

i tried to sign into my account on my brothers xbox with my Email address and when it signed me in, a new xbox account was created. Why did this happen and how can I fix it?

Edit: This is the new account that was created. My actual gamertag is Ten Pursuit

Using old xbox360 GT for new xbox one (and keeping it for both consoles)

It sounds like he's trying to creating a new gamertag instead of signing into the One with his original account.

This will walk you through signing into the One -
support.xbox.com/.../sign-in-solution Since he should already have an account and gamertag, follow those instructions.

Can you sign in Xbox live with a different E-mail account?

So, I have already an Xbox Live user and my E-mail account I used to sign in Xbox Live is about to close. Can I use a different E-mail account to sign in Live with the same user?

It's important, because I have all my achievements/ plus friends in this user and I cannot try it out, because I have not created another E-mail account, yet.

That means the email that you signed in with on your brothers account was not the same email associated with your gamertag what you want to do is check on your xbox in settings under the account tab and sign in security and passkey and it will show you the
email associated with the gamertag.

Hi, if you sign out of the account that has the game, then sign into or create a new account just to try this,of course you must be sure you
do not use your current account login details to create this new account if you don't already have another account on your Xbox.

Whilst signed into the other account go to the store and get the Hitman 2 starter pack, you only need to get that, you don't need to download it. Sign back into the account you're trying to get the legacy pack on and try to get the legacy pack again.

you can create a new account by signing out via the Guide button on the controller and pressing 'X' after that press 'X' again to sign in, or select 'create new profile' this will create another profile.

Just keep in mind that every gamer profile needs to be connected to a different Microsoft account (or create an 'offline' account which doesn't connect to Xbox Live.)

May I know if you also tried to reset the Xbox to factory defaults and remove everything?

Also, would you please try to sign in to the console with another account (you can create a new one) just for testing purposes?

you cant link a current xbox account to another microsoft account, the xbox account IS the microsoft account, so when a microsoft email/account is created it also creates a generic xbox account too.

so you are probably signing into an xbox with a different email and password that is different to your other email address is that correct.
