A new breed of desync

After a week long hiatus, I redownloaded KI and played a few matches. At first everything seemed rather normal, but then I cam across a Rank 2 Jago. He played with very little skill... Couldn't even pull off a combo ender. I took him down to "danger" with
almost all of my green bars. Suddenly the screen warps and his crappy Jago turned into a Kyle level Jago. All manuals, counter breaking everything. Within 30 seconds I had lost almost both of my life bars. I narrowly escaped death. I thought the player was
a troll, until I encountered a Fulgore player that did the same thing. I beat him and shortly there after received an msg calling me a Rage Quitter. Not only did the match end on his side, he even went to JAIL! I then played a pretty decent Sabrewulf. He went
from difficult to Kyle. Destroyed me and performed a fancy Ultra. During the Ultra animation, I receive msg from the player very upset about me rage quitting. He only got my character down to one red bar and never got to do an Ultra. I showed him the vid.
He apologized... But this is crazy weird. It's like cpu is taking control of the match... Anybody else seen this?

Yea this happens alot to me. You can tell you're not playing a human any longer do to the reactions the player develops suddenly and the tactics they start to use. The one I remember most was a jago player. He was low crushing my medium low pokes with shadow
windkicks on reaction, and consistantly, wouldn't miss once. I also couldn't combo him, he would break everything on the first frame regardless of strength and would not take counterbreaker attempts at all when I did try them. Also, when being comboed myself,
I couldn't break. Either my timing would supposedly be off, or it wouldn't register and when I did manage to break, the Jago somehow knew and would always counterbreak at the right time, despite me breaking at different intervals with no apparent pattern.

At that point I realized I wasn't playing a human anymore, and started encountering similar scenarios frequently. Some players are really good but I can tell when the game replaces the human with an A.I player. No matter how good a player some of the things
they've done to me no human can do on reaction let alone consistently. oddly enough my game rarely desyncs during those kyle fights but I have gotten accused of quitting a few times. I don't know what it is but it seems to me like the connection is so unstable
that somehow instead of disconnecting the game replaces the human opponent with an A.I bot and lets the match ride out, somehow the match never syncs or catches up but it continues to the end somehow. And then you have the usual desyncs where it disconnects.
Either way, the netcode is pretty messed up at this point, the game once had a solid netcode but its pretty broken now.

 

Another thing I'm finding out is that the Ranking system itself is broken. I was at half XP on Rank 15. I lost a match to a Rank 20 and I lost a smidgen of XP, as I'm supposed to. I then played against a Rank 11 and near the end of the match we had a pretty
crazy desync, in which his character continued to fight even though I had taken their entire life bar. All they did was stand at the far end of the arena and kept using a medium attack into the open air. Shortly afterward the match disconnected. Upon winning
a battle against a Button Masher, my XP gauge had dropped all the way to the end and it showed I had lost 5 additional matches. I then won a match against a person of the same rank and then another against a Rank 18 and BAM I then won 5 more additional phantom
matches and I almost ranked all the way to Rank 16. This doesn't make any sense.
