I don't like any of the endings, as to me, they just didn't feel right. Ending a trilogy like
Mass Effect on such a point, is not acceptable by the majority of fans, and they have a right to voice their opinion if they choose to do so. Personally, as none of the endings are acceptable to me, I'll work on my own ending in my fanfic... one which
does justice to the characters themselves.

The whole rewriting the ending doesn't sound like a very good idea to me, who's gonna rewrite it? The same folk who tabled this one? They run a far greater risk of making a bigger mess than they've all ready made, BioWare needs a vacation to reassess where
they are at, what's done is done...A ME fan rewrites his own trilogy ending :)

What's done is the ruining of an entire trilogy.

It is extensive, but most of it isn't anything to sing about. At least after reading the first 50 or so pages, I'm not inspired to keep reading it.

@kimieva The writers interpretation on how ME should have ended is good. Its the pages towards the end, make sure to catch them if nothing else. I skipped through sections to get to the juicy stuff.

Yeah, 500+ pages is a little too much for what I have time for these days (I'm an extremely S L O W Reader), but it underscores one of the things that's often overlooked by those who hated the ending, BioWare's "open ended", or what the haters claimed
was "no closure", approach inspired many to create their own interpretations which I think is great, anything thing that inspires people to create on this level can't be all that bad, the "art" argument is legit and can't be so easily dismissed because of
this...A ME fan rewrites his own trilogy ending :)

I don't think is an interpretation on how it DID end as opposed to how the writer felt it SHOULD have ended. Not quite the same thing. It's really no different than if I were to write up my own version of how things should have gone, Arkham.

Not sure I follow you here, the "open ended" ending is open for anyone (that means you too Kimieva) to create their own interpretations for themselves or anyone else that's interested in hearing it (like any "art"), there's nothing stopping you from creating
your "own version" as well, how is it "not quite the same thing"?...A ME fan rewrites his own trilogy ending :)

Oh. The difference is that one is an interpretation of what happens in the game, and the other is writing a new version of events based on what one would have preferred to see instead what happened. For example, Indoctrination Theory could be called an interpretation
of the ending. However, if I were to write a new version of events, which eliminates the Crucible, then has the allied flights taking out Harbinger, and by doing so that cascades a chain reaction that disables the remaining Reaper fleet, allowing the allied
forces to win without ever having needed to meet the Catalyst, that's a new version of things.

It's difference between saying "This is how I think the game ended" and saying "This is how I think the game should have ended." One is an interpretation and other is a rewrite.

Kimieva is right Arkham. I used it in a earlier post wrongly also. It doesn't matter. Did you manage to read more Kimieva?

Also the Indoctrination Theory is not an interpretation but FACT. Lol. I jest.

Yeah, either way they left things pretty wide open for one to "rewrite" it if they should choose to, or elaborate on what's there. When you finish a playthrough, no matter which BioWare ending you choose, you're back to where you were before the final push
made by the 'Allied Forces' and either a "should" or "did" ending will still work. The liner notes on the first game's boxart reads "Customize your character and embark on an epic adventure in an immersive
open-ended storyline", which is exactly what we got. People wanted to feel as though they crafted the story themselves, but in the end, they wanted it told for them instead and complained about "wanting more closure". I don't believe that
anyone, even BioWare themselves, can truly say how the game "DID" end when what was presented created a lot more questions than answers and was left wide open for personal interpretation, or personal creation, you have your own version, I have mine, and if
someone else creates a "new" version then there's plenty of room for them to do so...A ME fan rewrites his own trilogy ending :)

I really hope they do elaborate the ending with a sequel and not a prequel unless the prequel is ancient and not recent history.
